  • (Day 84) Honey, How Do I Look?

Last Friday, during a presentation of the Trust Tour to the human resource department of B.Braun, I was asked jokingly, “What do I when my wife asks me, ‘honey how do I look?’” Everyone laughed, but after thinking about it, I realized I did not have a good answer. What is the right way to respond to this very simple, yet important exchange in a marriage? Is it a lie to tell her (or him) you look great when they may not? What would someone trying to “live it” on the Trust Tour do?  At a recent meeting at the farm, I decided to pose this question to two people I respect on the subject of relationships, Gerry Dekhes and Jill Gonzales.  I was surprised at their answer, here is what they said…

Here is Glen Beck talking about lies in government. He ends his program answering the honey how do I look question.

  • (Day 70) Turn The Lights On!

This 4 minute audio builds off yesterday’s “IT” conversation. If integrity is the starting place to building trust, then how do we build integrity? IT starts by cleaning up your house.  Cleaning up your house starts by turning the lights on… check out this audio as a way to start thinking about IT.

  • (Day 65) Mom Trust

IMG_2004My favorite female entrepreneur is my Mom. Today is my her birthday.  She is my hero. If you read the Trust book you probably already know that my whole family is involved with entrepreneurship. Mom opened The Children’s Hour clothes store in Washington NJ in the 1970′s. She was an early female entrepreneur. In this audio recording she relives the experience and shares her own struggle with Trust. There is something special about being able to interview your mom. I hope you enjoy it.

  • (Day 63) Boiling The Frog

The following audio is a 3 minute recording I did after listening to two people I care about discuss how someone else is stealing their power, or what I call Boiling the Frog.

  • (Day 51) Trust And Olympic Athletes

Max Boilard is an Olympian from Canada. I met him through  Dick Brandt at the Global Village at Lehigh University. Max has a unique way of delivering a message about performing at your very best and uses his sport (canoeing) as an analogy . It was an honor to interview him, although very difficult for me to have my picture taken next to him. He makes me look more out of shape than ever! Oh well, trust me, he still has a great message. Enjoy! [...]

  • (Day 43) Is 2012 The End Of The World ?

According to the Mayan long count calendar, Dec. 21, 2012, at 11:11 PM, will mark the end of a 5,126-year era. The calendar then resets to zero. Amazingly scientists tell us at that same moment the earth will be in perfect alignment with the center of the Milky Way. Apparently, this is the equivalent of a galactic equator or a mid-line running through the center of the Milky Way dividing the galaxy into two hemispheres. I am not sure all this really matters, but many are predicting widespread catastrophe including the end of the world itself.

A frenzy appears to be starting, reminding me of the fear and chaos in the run up to the millennium. On the other hand, I am a little intrigued by the mystery behind the Mayan civilization and their advanced mathematical and scientific abilities. They were well beyond their years, so to speak. In the audio below, I share a few more thoughts about what I think is a bigger threat to our existence, the breakdown of Trust.

Are we headed for galactic annihilation or is a lack of trust the real threat?

  • (Day 42) A Gentleman’s Perspective on Trust

My friend Kirk Colton, the Director of the Parents Council at Lehigh University, is a gentleman’s gentleman. There are few people  that handle themselves with the poise, respect, and honor as Kirk. On this Toddcast, he shares  stories on trust, from what he learned from his grandmother to a personal betrayal. I was struck by the candor and clarity of Kirk’s message, I think you will be too.
